There are a lot of things you can achieve in 2 years. You can start and finish at college, you can go through several jobs. You can earn lots of money or lose all your money. But what I have achieved in 2 years never fails to amaze me. 730 days with my little dude and we are doing alright aren’t we?!
In two years I’ve taught someone how to crawl, to walk, to run and to hop. I’ve taught someone to be kind and loving and gentle. I’ve taught someone how to brighten the darkest of days by simply being Noah. There’s days that it’s hard and days that it’s easier than I could have ever imagined but i never take for granted the beautiful person that rules my life.
You drive me crazy by making me change Netflix about 10 times before you decide, of course it’s minions you want for the millionth time this week!!! You kick off at the wrong coloured cup I’ve given you or when I try to steal a bite of your biscuit! I often think to myself how much you look like your dad but I think that’s about it because all of your personality seems to be a miniature version of me. I mean, how can I get made at someone that makes me laugh so much?!
You’re brave, strong willed and independent. Always wave goodbye to me without a care in the world, knowing I’ll always come back to you. You’re a confident boy who loves talking, singing and waving at strangers. You know more words than I can count and you always sing happy birthday to me even when it’s not for months!
I’m now married to your Daddy and we are a complete family! At our wedding there was a reading that read, ‘Maybe…it is true that we don’t know what we have got until we lose it, but it is also true that we don’t know what we have been missing until it arrives.’ This couldn’t be anymore true! You weren’t quite in my plans but I simply couldn’t imagine life without you.
You brighten everyday with your cheeky, hilarious and mischievous personality. You melt the hearts of everyone around you by always kissing them and telling them you love them more. You will forever break hearts with the bluest eyes and the blondest of hair!
Noah, you are simply amazing! Happy 2 years to you, my not so baby boy!!! Keep doing what you’re doing because I completely adore you. Here’s to many more years ahead full on our Thompson adventures!!
