Hubbox Portsmouth…

Yesterday we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. We originally had a lovely weekend away planned, staying in an adults only boutique while my sister had the kids. After Chester’s accident, we cancelled those plans and decided to have a day out shopping in Portsmouth. We were kindly gifted a meal at Hubbox in Gunwharf Quays.

When we arrived, we were greeted by a number of friendly and welcoming staff. The restaurant front was fairly spacious so allowed room for our pram as Chester was sleeping. The decor was seriously amazing, like pretty much wish I lived there to be honest. There was a range of artwork, beautiful lighting and comfortable seating which always adds to a dining experience. It was a very laid back atmosphere and with lots of children in there, we felt at ease. The staff made real effort with the boys, which is always lovely to experience.

They stock a range of drinks including ales and lagers and we both enjoyed a lunchtime beer! I can honestly say the food was amazing!!! The dirty fries I could have eaten all day and the brisket burger was literally melting in my mouth. Prices were reasonable, especially considering we love going to Red Dog and that’s pretty steep. Hubbox definitely competed well with Red Dog and the prices make it better for a family lunch. Noah’s children’s meal was less than a fiver and the portion was more than reasonable!

My favourite things about Hubbox:

There was literally no negative points from us and we absolutely loved our experience. We’ll definitely be going back soon. If you’re local or thinking of heading to Gunwharf, then I cannot recommend Hubbox enough! I’ll link their website below…
